Description
Contains emulsifying wax 8% w/w, white soft paraffin 12% w/w and liquid paraffin 8% w/w.
Preservatives: Methyparaben - 0.32% w/w, propylparaben - 0.048% w/w.
Indications/Uses
In irritant conditions of the skin it acts as an emollient to soften or soothe skin.
Dosage/Direction for Use
A thin film of the cream should be applied over affected are 2 - 3 times daily.
Route of Administration: Topical.
Contraindications
Known hypersensitivity to any ingredients in the formulation.
Special Precautions
Hypersensitivity reaction such as contact dermatitis may occur with the hydroxybenzoates preservatives. Discontinue use if irritation or sensitivity develops.
Adverse Reactions
Side effects of cream base are rare when used in topical preparations.
Drug Interactions
The activity of hydroxybenzoates can be adversely affected by the presence of other excipients or active ingredients. There may be adsorption onto substances like magnesium trisilicate, aluminum magnesium silicate, talc, polysorbate 80 or plastics. Activity can be affected by nonionic surfactants, essential oils, atropine, iron, sorbitol, weak alkalis and strong acids.
Storage
Store in a dry place below 30°C.
