Each lozenge contains Cetylpyridinium Chloride 2mg
Properties
Cetylpyridinium Chloride is a quarternary ammonium compound with broad spectrum anti-bacterial activity. It is of value in treating superficial infections of the mouth and throat. The action of sucking the lozenges allows the active ingredient to work in the discomfort area and also helps lubricate and soothe the painful area. This helps relieve the soreness and discomfort of mouth and throat infection.
Recommended Dosage
Adult: 1 lozenge 3 to 4 times daily
Children (above 6 years old): 1/2 lozenge 3 to 4 times daily
Allow Avosil lozenge to dissolve slowly in mouth. Suck the lozenge and avoid chewing or swallowing.
Warning and Precaution
Avosil in contraindicated in those patients with history of hypersensitivity to cetylpyridinium
If any form of allergies such as rash appears, immediately discontinue use of Avosil
Care to be taken for patient with Diabetes, having intolerance to sucrose
Not to be used for children under 6 years old
